What's Excluded?

  • Meals during your stay in Kathmandu are not included.
  • Costs for international flights and visas are excluded. (Visas can be easily obtained upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, with a fee of USD 50 for a 30-day visa and USD 125 for a 90-day visa).
  • Travel insurance, including coverage for emergency helicopter evacuation, is not included.
  • Personal trekking equipment and gear are to be provided by the trekkers.
  • Any personal expenses such as food, beverages, snacks, hot showers, and Wi-Fi during the trek are not covered. 
Detailed itinerary

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, a representative from our team will welcome you. You'll be transported to your hotel in a private vehicle. A pre-trip session is scheduled where you'll have the opportunity to meet your guide for the trek. This meeting is the perfect time to address any questions you have regarding Everest Base Camp trek.

Trek preparation and Kathmandu sightseeing: In your second day in Kathmandu you have full day for your trek preparation so you can buy your trekking gears, sunscreen and all essential things.

Embark on your exhilarating expedition to Everest Base Camp with a brief yet electrifying flight to Lukla. (Note: During peak season, flight departures may also be arranged from Manthali). Throughout this scenic flight, you'll be captivated by breathtaking vistas of the Himalayas, verdant hills, and quaint mountain villages nestled below. Upon touchdown in Lukla, the adventure truly begins. To ensure your body acclimatizes effectively to the altitude, your first night will be spent in the charming village of Phakding. The trek will be around 3-4 hours after Lukla landing and total trekking distance 8.2 km approx. overnight stay at guesthouse.

Leaving Phakding, your journey involves crossing the milky Dudh Koshi River via a suspension bridge, winding through serene pine forests to reach Monjo. From this point, the path involves traversing several suspension bridges and making an ascent through Sagarmatha National Park. As you follow the path adjacent to the Dudh Koshi River, you'll arrive at Jorsale, where a brief halt for lunch is planned. Subsequently, the route leads through thick woodlands and ascends towards the renowned Namche Bazaar. It is on this leg of the journey that you'll catch your initial view of the majestic Mt. Everest and overnight stay at Namchebazar

Today marks your first acclimatization day in the vibrant hub of Namche Bazaar. Adjusting to the altitude is crucial for a successful high-altitude trek, and this day is dedicated to ensuring your well-being while immersing yourself in the local culture. You'll have the opportunity to explore the bustling streets of Namche Bazaar, engaging with the friendly locals and delving into the rich tapestry of Sherpa culture. Visits to museums offer insights into the area's history and mountaineering heritage. Later, embark on a picturesque hike to the Everest View Hotel, situated at an elevation of 3,962 meters. Renowned for its panoramic vistas, the hotel offers spellbinding views of iconic Himalayan peaks including Everest, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Lhotse, and Kongde Peak. Take a moment to soak in the awe-inspiring scenery before descending back to Namche Bazaar for a restful night's sleep.

Embark on your journey towards Tengboche, navigating a rugged trail that presents both descents and ascents, offering a varied terrain experience. Setting off alongside the meandering Dudh Koshi River, be prepared to be mesmerized by the majestic mountain vistas that accompany your trek. Traverse through picturesque landscapes adorned with vibrant rhododendron forests as you make your way towards Phungi Thenga. Continuing onwards, you'll eventually arrive at the captivating village of Tengboche, greeted by awe-inspiring views of Everest, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and Nuptse. The EBC trail treats you to a visual feast of lush rhododendron forests, glacial streams, and serene monasteries, making each step along the path truly rewarding. Upon reaching Tengboche, immerse yourself in the spiritual ambiance as you visit the renowned Tengboche monastery. Witness the enchanting sight of Lamas engaging in prayer ceremonies, either in the tranquil mornings or the serene evenings, adding a profound touch to your Himalayan adventure, in total trek will be 5-6 hrs approximately and overnight stay at guesthouse.

Crossing the Imja Khola, the trail moves towards Pangboche village. Take a small break and visit the ancient Pangboche monastery. It is the biggest Sherpa settlement in the region. The trail further continues offering a superb panorama of Island Peak and Ama Dablam to Dingboche village. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Following our initial acclimatization in Namche, today marks a well-deserved rest day, crucial for allowing our bodies to adjust to the altitude and changing conditions. To aid in this process, we'll undertake a gentle hike to Nangkartsang Peak (5,083 m), offering breathtaking vistas, particularly of the majestic Ama Dablam. This excursion serves not only to further acclimate but also to treat us to awe-inspiring views that invigorate the spirit. Upon returning from our acclimatization hike, you'll have the opportunity to leisurely explore the village surroundings or simply unwind in the cozy confines of the teahouse. Whether immersing ourselves in the local culture or indulging in moments of relaxation, this day allows us to recharge and fully appreciate the unique experience of trekking in the Himalayas and overnight at a guesthouse.

As Everest Base Camp trek journey starts toward Lobuche, the trail unfolds along a rugged and rocky path, gradually ascending towards our destination. En route, we'll pause for a brief respite at Thukla (4,600 m), where we'll enjoy a nourishing lunch before crossing the pass. Throughout our trek, we'll be treated to phenomenal vistas of towering peaks such as Mt. Pumori, Mt. Nuptse, Lobuche Peak, and Cholatse. These breathtaking views serve as a constant reminder of the awe-inspiring beauty that surrounds us as we make our way towards Lobuche and overnight stay at guesthouse.

Today's trek comprises two distinct sections, leading us first to Gorak Shep and then onward to the iconic Everest Base Camp (5364m). After a hearty breakfast, we bid farewell to Lobuche and commence our journey, tracing the path alongside the majestic Khumbu Glacier, with the imposing presence of Mt. Nuptse accompanying our trek. Our footsteps guide us to the quaint village of Gorak Shep, nestled amidst the rugged terrain of the Himalayas. As we navigate through the rugged terrain, we're treated to captivating views of the Khumbu Glacier and the awe-inspiring Khumbu Icefall, each step bringing us closer to our ultimate destination. Upon reaching Everest Base Camp, a sense of awe and achievement washes over us as we're greeted by a panoramic vista of Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Pumori, Khumbutse, and the surrounding peaks. Standing at the base of the world's highest mountain is a momentous occasion, a testament to our journey's perseverance and determination. During peak seasons, we may have the privilege of encountering expedition teams and climbers, adding to the vibrant tapestry of experiences along the trail. With memories etched in our minds, we retrace our steps back to Gorak Shep, cherishing the unforgettable moments and breathtaking scenery that define the Everest Base Camp trek. Today's trek entails another day of adventure and exploration, beginning with a memorable ascent to Kala Patthar, a renowned viewpoint renowned for its breathtaking vistas. Kala Patthar offers unparalleled views of Mt. Everest and an array of other majestic snow-capped peaks, illuminated by the warm hues of a stunning sunrise. It's a moment of sublime beauty that etches itself into the memory forever. Following our time at Kala Patthar, we commence our descent towards Pheriche. Traversing through remote settlement areas and verdant forests, the journey unfolds amidst the tranquility of the Himalayan landscape. With each step, we're enveloped in the serene beauty of our surroundings, soaking in the sights and sounds of the journey. Arriving in Pheriche, situated at an elevation of 4,240 meters, we're greeted by the warmth of the local hospitality and the comfort of our accommodations, reflecting on the day's adventures and relishing in the memories created along the way.

Time to trek back to Namche Bazaar. The trail descends to Tengboche. From here, you will follow the same trail back to Namche Bazaar. You will be trekking through lush forests, crossing suspension bridges and streams. The views are fantastic and overnight stay at Namche Bazar.

After early morning breakfast, we embark on our descent towards Namche Bazaar, retracing the familiar trail we traversed earlier in our journey. As we make our way, we pass through picturesque Pangboche village, with its charming Sherpa dwellings nestled amidst the rugged terrain. With each step, we draw closer to the vibrant bustle of Namche Bazaar, our hearts filled with a sense of accomplishment and gratitude for the unforgettable experiences of our trek. As we arrive back in Namche, we're greeted by the familiar sights and sounds of this bustling mountain town, marking the culmination of our epic Himalayan adventure.

In January, February, June, July, August, September, and December, the flight duration from Lukla to Kathmandu is approximately 35 minutes. Upon arrival, you'll be transferred to your Kathmandu hotel via shared tourist vehicle. Flight operations depend on airline decisions and traveler volume for each month. In March, April, May, October, and November, the flight from Lukla to Manthali takes about 20 minutes, followed by a 5 to 6 hour drive to Kathmandu. Transfer to your Kathmandu hotel.

Today, one of our airport representatives will be there to escort you to the International Airport, ensuring a smooth transition for your journey back home.
