You'll start with a scenic 45-minute flight from Kathmandu to Tumlingtar, followed by a 7-hour drive to Num. Num is your starting point for trekking, situated at 1490 meters above sea level. You'll settle in overnight at Num, preparing for the journey ahead into the lower foothills of the Makalu region.

Today's trek takes approximately 6 hours as you make your way to Seduwa, located at 1460 meters. The trail winds through lush forests and traditional villages, offering glimpses of local life and scenic views of the surrounding hills. You'll spend the night in Seduwa, resting and acclimatizing for the upcoming altitude gains.

Continuing your ascent, you'll trek for about 5 hours to reach Tashi Gaon at 2070 meters. The path passes through terraced fields and dense forests, with occasional views of snow-capped peaks in the distance. Tashi Gaon is a traditional Sherpa village where you'll stay overnight, immersing yourself in local culture and hospitality.

Today's trek involves a steady climb of about 5 hours to Khongma, situated at 3470 meters. Today's trek takes 6-7 hours as you hike to Yangli Kharka at 3580 meters. The route follows a narrow path along the Barun River, offering stunning views of waterfalls and glaciers. Yangli Kharka is a high-altitude grazing area where you'll camp overnight, soaking in the expansive mountain vistas.

You'll trek for about 4 hours today to reach High Camp at 5780 meters. The trail becomes steeper and more technical as you approach the Amphu Lapcha Pass. High Camp offers spectacular views and serves as a base for tomorrow's pass crossing.

Today's trek of approximately 6 hours takes you over the Amphu Lapcha Pass, standing at 5845 meters. The crossing involves negotiating icy slopes and rocky ridges, requiring careful footing and possibly fixed ropes. Chhukung, on the other side of the pass, provides a well-deserved rest and stunning views of the Ama Dablam and Lhotse peaks.
